William G. “Bill” Hallett
of 1466 Shaw Road, passed away at his home on Friday, (Dec 23). A
Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, (Dec 28) at
Lakeview Assembly of God, 3601 State Route 14 in Watkins Glen,
co-officiated by pastors Mark Houseknecht and Marvin Reed. Kindly

Bill was born on April 13, 1938 in the town of Lansing, a son of the
late Ulysses S. Grant and Katie L. (Garnsey) Hallett. His family
moved to the Lodi area when he was a young boy, and he graduated
from South Seneca High School in 1955.

He served his country in the US Army from 1961 to
1963. Bill worked at Wagner Vineyards for several years, before and
during a long career at Goulds Pumps in Seneca Falls. He began as a
machinist and was promoted to foreman during his 29 years with
Goulds. Following his early retirement, Bill worked at Seneca Falls
Technology.
His hobbies included gunsmithing, wood working, and the past several
years his time and devotion was directed to his special grandsons.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Donna; his children, Lucas
(Donna) Hallett and their children, Ambria, Tevin and De’Angelo all
of Ithaca, and Kathy (Chris) Trim and their boys, Elijah and Peter
all of Lodi, and by his three brother’s families. Bill was preceded
