Isabel M. Manning, age 90, formerly of 7053 Depot
Road, died in Greensboro, North Carolina on Friday, December 9,
2011.
The family will receive friends from 4:00pm to
7:00pm on Tuesday, Dec 13th at Covert Funeral Home, 7199 So. Main
Street in Ovid. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on
Wednesday, Dec 14th at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. John
Kotun. Prayers of committal will be held at Ovid Union Cemetery.

Isabel.
Isabel was born on December 7, 1921 in Penn Yan,
a daughter of the late Harry and Selma (Larsen) Lamphier. She was a
graduate of the Penn Yan Academy, and had a career that spanned more
than 30 years at Willard Psychiatric Center, primarily at Elliot
Hall.

Isabel was a loving mother and devoted
grandmother. She took great pride in caring for her patients at
Willard, and after retiring, helping elderly people in surrounding
communities. She was a Gold Star Mother, and an honorary member of
the Manning-Lilla American Legion Post #463 in Ovid
She is survived by her children; Charles W.
(Sharon) Manning of Romulus, Lance Manning of Middleburgh, NY,
Collin S. (Joan) Manning of Nazareth, PA, Victoria (Bob) Willson of
Colfax, NC, and Frank (Lena) Manning of Kennett Square, PA, 6
grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, a sister in law, Fay (Vernon)
English and numerous nieces and nephews. Isabel was preceded in
death by her husband, Charles Manning in 1977, a son, Bruce Manning
in 1967 and by her brothers, Roland, Raymond, Maurice “Babe” and by
a sister, Viola “Tootsie” who recently passed away in November. |
