Lt. Col. Alexander A. Humulock, Jr.Lt. Colonel Alexander A. Humulock, Jr. died Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at his beloved home "Serenity View" in Romulus, New York.
 
The family will be present to receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00pm on Friday, December 11, 2015 at Covert Funeral Home, 7199 So. Main Street, Ovid. A Mass will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Holy Cross Catholic Church followed by Military Honors. There will be a Celebration of Life in the church rectory hosted by the Altar Rosary Society immediately following the service. Born in Ithaca, Tompkins County, New York, on January 29, 1925, he was the last surviving child of Ukrainian immigrants Alexander Hamulack and Sophia Zlotorowicz of Ithaca, New York. He is predeceased by four sisters Anne, Genevieve, Helen and Patricia, and two brothers, Henry and Edward. His beloved wife Millicent "Milly" Patterson of sixty-one years, left his side three years ago, leaving a terrible void in his heart. Alex and Milly were the proud parents of Alexander “Tony” (Michelle) Humulock of Romulus, NY; Richard Humulock of Mechanicsville, MD; Rebecca (Bob) Dooley Stallings of Brandywine, MD; Christopher (Kim)  Humulock of Narragansett, RI; Stephanie (Rick) Lewis of Richmondville, NY and Andrew (Michelle)  Humulock of Chicago, IL. They leave behind a beautiful legacy to their seventeen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
 
Alex was a WWII Veteran serving his country for over twenty-two years receiving the American Theatre Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Medal and the Victory Medal retiring in 1970. He received his Associates Degree of Applied Science in 1950 from the Rochester Institute of Technology; Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois in 1956; Master of Business from the University of Chicago in 1961 and his Doctorate in Education in 1979. He was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Ovid, NY since 1995, serving our Lord as Lector and Extraordinary Minister.
