RUTH
MARIE PARKER 1924-2016
Ruth Marie Klein Parker of Old Lake Road, Lodi, NY originally from Binghamton
and Newark, NY, passed away on June 20, 2016. She was at home with her family
and the Angels from Hospice.
Ruth was born to John and Mable Klein of Forest City Pennsylvania. One of four
girls Ellen (Runte), Dorothy (Kaufman), Ruth (Parker) and Ann (Clapper).
Ruth is survived by her only child, Janette Brown of Odessa, NY; Grandson
Aaron Brown, and Granddaughters Carie Brown and Brooke Brown; five
Great-Grandchildren: Joe Brown, Titus Buisch, Sheode Brown, Taryn Busich, and
Courtney Brown; and one Great-Great-Grandson Loel Fitzimmons; and special
adopted daughter Patricia Giblin of Apalachian, NY. She is also survived by
her youngest sister Ann Clapper of Texas, and many nieces and nephews from
Binghamton, Massachusetts, Texas and California.
Ruth had a Wonderful Life as she would say so often. Especially the years of
sailing the Finger Lakes with her late husband John Parker on their beloved
yacht the C’est La Vie and building their dream house on Lodi Point on Seneca
Lake.
Ruth was employed by Willard Psychiatric Center as Director of Volunteers
until the late 1990’s, and had a Market Research Business in Binghamton in the
early 1960’s. Ruth was also an active member of the Auburn Power Squadron.
A private Memorial service will be held at her home on Lodi Point in place of
calling hours.
Donations can be made in Ruth’s honor to The ARC of Schuyler that has taken
wonderful care over many years with day services for her beloved granddaughter
Brooke Brown.
