Patsy
A. Hayward, age 68, of Lodi passed away at home on Sunday, February 19, 2017.
The family will be present to receive friends from 10:00am to Noon on
Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Covert Funeral Home, 7199 So. Main Street,
Ovid. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at Noon at the funeral home.
The family asks those that would like to make a contribution in Patsy’s memory
to kindly consider the American Diabetes Association.
Patsy was born in Seneca Falls on October 5, 1948, a daughter of the late
Harold “Mick” and Vivian (Lathrop) Martz. She worked in food service at
Willard Psychiatric Center and then at the Drug Treatment Center where she was
known for baking delicious brownies, peanut butter fudge, and brittle. Patsy
enjoyed playing euchre at the American Legion, always bringing baked goodies
to the games. Her grandchildren will fondly remember baking cookies and
lollipop cookies together.
Patsy is survived by her husband of 44 years, Earl Hayward of Lodi; daughter,
Kimberly (Bill) Armitage of Marathon; two grandsons, Liam and Lance Armitage;
honorary granddaughter, Aven Bowers; two brothers, Theodore (Gwen) Martz of
Baldwinsville and Thomas (Agnes) Martz of Talbotton, GA; and many aunts,
uncles, nieces, and nephews.
