William Auble Obituary

William J. “Bill” Auble, age 86, longtime resident of Lodi and Micco, FL died peacefully at his home on Sunday, June 19, 2022.

Bill was born in Montour Falls on December 31, 1935, the youngest son of Wilmont and Vivian Jensen Auble. He left school to begin working at the age of 16, and soon thereafter, formed Auble Construction.  His strong work ethic led to a successful career in water and sewer construction and the building of Auble’s Mobile Home Park in Trumansburg. He was able to winter at his home in Micco, Florida for more than 45 years.  Bill was an avid sportsman; all forms of hunting and fishing both in New York and Florida, in addition to his passion for sports.  He was a proud patriot and supporter of his local communities.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Sylvia; his children, Frank (Kathy) Auble of Grant, FL, Phil Auble of Trumansburg and Lisa Auble of Geneva; his grandchildren, Jackie (Teddy Toney) Chase of Tupelo, MS, Tara (Greg) Dykshoorn of Odessa, Corey (Angela) Parish of Williamsville, Jessica Teeter of Watkins Glen, Alison (Tim) Croom and Daniel McCoon of Kinston, SC; 7 grandchildren; his stepchildren, Terry (Lisa) Parish of Hector and Tammy (Dan) McCoon of Kinston, SC and a large extended family. Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Clyde.

Services will be held privately for the family. All are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at the Lodi Fire House on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 1:00 to 4:00pm.
