David H. DeNise

David H. DeNise, age 86, of Interlaken passed away peacefully at home on December 22, 2025.

Born on February 15, 1939, in Rochester, New York, David was a son of the late Alfred and Ruth (Henderson) DeNise. After a career at Willard Psychiatric Center as a mental health therapy aide, David continued to work at Koke's Coal and Pine Tree Farms in Interlaken.

He was a voracious reader and a passionate Civil War history buff. In his younger years, he was known as an avid hunter and fisherman.

David is survived by his wife, Sally Hess DeNise; his children, Xtopher "Chris" DeNise, Akiya (Bob) Garrity, JeB DeNise, and Adam DeNise; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren,

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Joshua DeNise; two brothers; and one sister.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services.
