Dianna L. LaPrade, age 77, longtime resident of the area, passed away at her home on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, following an extended cancer illness.

Dianna was born on April 26, 1948, in Fort Dix, NJ, the only daughter of the late David and Dorothy Lemerise. She graduated from Colonie High School and received her nursing education in New Jersey, becoming licensed in 1969. Dianna moved to the Ovid area from Albany in 1984 and had worked at Willard Psychiatric Center, the daycare center in Willard, the BP Station in Ovid. She is mostly known for her long tenure at the Ovid Primary Care office. She worked briefly at Seneca Meadows after her retirement from nursing. Dianna was a longtime member of the VFW Post 6200 Auxiliary, where she gave much of her time and made lasting friendships. She enjoyed painting, hiking, socializing and loved to read.

She is survived by her partner of nearly 30 years, Mike Wilson of Romulus, her stepdaughter, Jessica of Boliver and stepson, Nicholas of LeRoy; her cousins, Jane and Maryann Berben and their families; her son, Robert (Molly) LaPrade; a daughter, Tina (John) Reed and grandchildren, Cobe, Austin and Ashley. Dianna was preceded in death by her brother, David Lemerise and stepson Chris.

The family will host a Celebration of Life at VFW Post 6200 in Ovid on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00pm.
