Grace Sacco

January 12, 1967 — December 13, 2025

Lodi

Grace Sacco, 58, of Trumansburg, passed peacefully on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

Grace was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, to the late Vincent and Rita (Guerino) Sacco, the fifth of six children. She spent her early years in New Jersey and Florida before moving to Trumansburg, New York, in the early 2000s with her daughter, Kayla.

Grace will be remembered as a fiercely loving mother, a proud grandma, a strong sister, and a loyal friend to many. She was warm, welcoming, and always the most fun person in the room, making those around her laugh with her crazy tales from her past.

Grace loved to cook, and her home was a place where everyone had a seat at the table. Whether she was whipping up an elaborate meal “just because” or dropping off baked goods for friends, feeding people delicious food was one of her love languages. She had a lifelong passion for music and could often be found at concerts and festivals, where she truly was the life of the party. Above all, she cherished time with her daughter, the incredible community of friends she built, and of course, her beloved trio of cats—Frida, Feather, and Figgy.

Grace proudly worked for many years in the Finger Lakes hospitality community, where she formed lasting friendships with colleagues and patrons alike. She was known for her tireless work ethic, generosity, and ability to make everyone feel welcome. When she wasn’t working, Grace volunteered at the local food pantry, donated time to the Grassroots Festival of Music, rescued animals, and showed up wherever help was needed.

Grace is survived by her loving daughter, Kayla Taiclet, and son-in-law, Jack; her grandchild, Leo; her brother Russell Sacco and sister-in-law Michele; sisters Frances Sacco and Maria Kane (and brother-in-law John); brother Frank Sacco and sister-in-law Alma; and many adored nieces and nephews.

Grace fought breast cancer, kicking and punching until her last days over four years, meeting every challenge with grit, courage, and her own personal blend of humor. As her favorite musician Bob Marley said, “Don't worry about a thing, 'cause every little thing gonna be alright.” Grace lived her life with optimism and faith despite its many challenges, and encouraged everyone around her to do the same.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Relatives and friends are warmly invited to attend a celebration of Grace’s beautiful life in Spring 2026. Details will be shared at a later date.
