Harold E. Wilson

Harold E. Wilson of Interlaken passed away on March 12, 2026 at Cayuga Medical Center at the age of 75. 

Born on November 7, 1949, in Montour Falls, New York, Harold was the son of the late Harold and Helen (Teeter) Wilson. He graduated from Watkins Glen High School before being drafted into the United States Army in 1969. His military career spanned 24 years, culminating in an honorable discharge in 1993. Following his retirement from the military, Harold worked as a corrections officer in Alaska.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Harold was an avid outdoorsman who cherished fishing and hunting excursions shared with childhood friends and family. He also took great satisfaction in mowing lawn.

Harold is survived by his wife, Ellen Stevens-Wilson; children Nikole (Josh) Mathis, Kristin Wilson, Patrick Wilson, Cheyanna (Deven Gilbert) Wilson, and Joseph Wilson; stepchildren Kenneth (Brittany Bagley) Burchell and Kylie (Robert Duncan) Rodrigues; grandchildren Bradley and Alexandra Hutchinson, Paisley, Beckett Gilbert, Austin Hazlitt, Oliver and Maeve Burchell, and Theron and Emmett Rodrigues; as well as his sister, Peggi Bond. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Helen (Teeter) Wilson, and his sister, Linda Robnett.
