James Everts

James Everts, age 82, of Lodi passed away at Cayuga Medical Center on Friday, October 16, 2026.

In keeping with Jim’s wishes services will be private.

Jim was born in Lodi on August 11, 1944, the youngest of nine children to George and Nora (Patterson) Everts. He worked for over 40 years at Wallace Steel in Ithaca as a scrap processor, which became a hobby as well. Jim had a love for old trucks, especially 1970 Ford pickups.

Jim is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marie Everts; children, James (Karen Worden) Everts, Christine (Richard) Mills, and Donald (Rebekah) Everts; grandchildren, Jessikah Everts, James (Ashley Steinruck) Everts, Parker Mason, Jakob Everts, and Jeffrey Worden; great grandchildren, Kingsley, Jaxson, Forrest, and Maddie; sister, Betty; beloved dog Baby Girl; and many, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Jane, George “Sonny,” Margaret, William Charles “Peanut,” Sue, Richard, and Barbara.
