Judy L. Rosbaugh, age 82, longtime resident of Brown Street, died on Monday, November 11, 2024 at Seneca Nursing Center in Waterloo, following a recent decline in her health.
Judy was born in Cortland on August 26, 1942, a daughter of Bernold and Lucille (nee Underwood) Ike. She was a Romulus High School graduate and had long career at Willard Psychiatric Center, retiring from the food service department in 1995 after 31 years of service. She was an avid gardener and DIY home project “specialist”, a wonderful neighbor and true friend to many. Judy loved to play euchre and had been a member of the Ovid American Legion auxiliary.
She is survived by her best friend and partner of 38 years, Sandy Doane; her siblings, Pam Kirk of Old Forge and Bruce Ike of Waterloo; Sandy’s children, Debra (David) Lincoln of Lodi, Pennie (Dozier) Mills of Melbourne, FL and Robert (Cinnamon) Doane of Willard and all of Sandy and Judy’s grandchildren. Judy was preceded in death by her sisters; Patricia Stevens, Joanne Hayes, Kay Veeder, Donna Hood, Sharon Hoffarth and Avis Kissell and by her brothers, Mahlon, Jack BS Gary Ike and by Sandy’s son, Timothy Doane.
At Judy’s request, committal services at Lake View Cemetery in Interlaken will be held privately, and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
