Karen Ann Harris

Karen A. Harris of Trumansburg passed away at Cayuga Medical Center on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the age of 66.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at the Ovid Federated Church, 7137 Main Street, Ovid.

Karen was born on the Sampson Air Force Base in Romulus on November 11, 1954, a daughter to Claude and Barbara (Doty) Sibley. She worked over 30 years as a CNA at Cayuga Ridge Nursing Home in Ithaca. Karen has a quick wit, sarcastic sense of humor, and was always the life of any party. She had a deep love for her son, grandchildren, and mother that will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her son Anthony (Lynette) Zammett; mother Barbara Strawway; four grandchildren Makayla, Valerie, Josiah, and Zoe; brother, Larry Sibley; life companion, Bruce Harding; and many nieces and nephews. Karen was preceded in death by her father, Claude Sibley; and brother Stephen Sibley.
