Lewis “Mad Dog” Rosbaugh, 81, of Lodi, NY, passed away peacefully at his home on August 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on January 18, 1944, Lewis was the son of Nelson and Leona (Jennings) Rosbaugh. After his service, Lewis built a long and fulfilling career at the Seneca Army Depot, where he worked until his retirement in 2000.
A man of many talents and passions, he was known throughout the community as a fearless “Hot Rod” driver and a true tractor enthusiast. He was a lifelong farmer with a deep love for the land and a strong work ethic, matched only by his sense of humor and devotion to those around him.
Lewis was a beloved husband to Lynne Rosbaugh, with whom he shared 53 wonderful years of marriage. He was a proud father to Richard (Connie) Rosbaugh, Curtis (Jhena) Rosbaugh, and Susan Rosbaugh; a cherished grandfather to his grandchildren and adored great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Tracy; along with many extended family members and dear friends. In addition to his parents, Nelson and Leona Rosbaugh, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Richard, Forest, Nelson Jr., Tracy, and Auressa.
Lewis’ legacy is one of strength, service, kindness, and a life fully lived. He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
