Bob Miller

Robert P. "Bob" Miller of Ovid passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at FF Thompson Hospital surrounded by family at the age of 68.

The family will be present to receive friends from 1:30 to 4:00pm on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Bob’s Home, 7464 Rock River Road, Ovid. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 4:00pm at the house.The family asks those that would like to make a donation in Bob's memory to consider the Arbor Foundation or plant a tree in Bob's memory. Also flowers are welcome to be delivered to the house.

Bob was born in Ogdensburg on September 1, 1957, a son to Merrill and Betty (Alguire) Miller. His career as a construction worker spanned decades and he retired as general superintendent for Structural Preservations in Cheshire, Connecticut. More than his career, Bob was truly proudest of his family, whom he cared for with unwavering devotion. He was the kind of man who would do anything for those he loved. Bob’s love for life was evident in the simple pleasures he pursued. He looked forward each year to his trips to Florida and at home took great pride in caring for his lawn.

Those privileged to share in Bob’s stories will remember his fondness for reminiscing; he delighted in telling “remember when” stories that drew friends and family close, filling every gathering with laughter and nostalgia. One of his most cherished traditions was planning his annual 4th of July party, affectionately referred to as “Christmas in July.”

Bob is survived by his wife, Stephanie Miller; children, Justin (Elsie) Miller, Adam Miller, Nichole (Ricky Moone) Carter, and Samantha (Bryce) Burkett; grandchildren, Grace and Grant Miller, Rhett Noone, Adeline Reynolds, and Henry Burkett; special nephew, Logan Miller; mother, Betty Miller; siblings, Connie Green, Shirley (Ronald) Turbide, Kathy (Terry) Wright, Vicky (Tim) Vining, John (Paula) Miller, and Michael (Dawn) Miller; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Merrill; and brother, Jeffrey Miller.
