Stephen A. Dunn, age 74, longtime resident of Corning, died on Saturday, May 3, 2025, following a brief hospitalization.
Steve was born in Corning on May 19, 1950, a son of the late Karl and Elizabeth “Betty” Dunn. Steve began his career as a respiratory therapist and then obtained his master’s degree in engineering and enjoyed a long career with Corning Inc. as an industrial engineer. He was named as an Associate to Corning prior to his retirement in 2005. Steve had been a member of the Corning Elks Club # 1071, Corning Jaycees, and local Drum & Bugle Corps. He and his wife, Marcelline “Mickey” retired to Lodi on the shore of Seneca Lake.
Steve is survived by his wife of 50 years; Mickey and his brothers; Karl Dunn of Hazel Green, AL, Lief R. (Bonnie) Dunn, of Robertsville, AL and their families; his special nieces, Kathy Barrett of Mansfield, PA, Kathy Hale of Painted Post, Lisa Barrett of Rancho Mirage, CA and his special great nephew and nieces, Brian (Sara) Hale and Megan Hale, of Corning, Kristen LaPlant of Elmira Heights and his wife’s large extended family.
