Theresa Thornton

Theresa Thornton, age 53, formerly  of the Ovid DDSO residence, died in Rockaway, NY following an extended illness and hospitalization.

Theresa was born in Rochester on February 1, 1970, a daughter of the late Daniel and Helen (nee Smith) Thornton. "Terry" as she was called by her family was a joyful child that loved to sing and dance.  She spent countless hours coloring and loved her collection of Barbies. She had a joyful and energetic spirit that was shared with her family, friends, housemates and staff at the residence.

Theresa is survived by her mother, Helen Ishler of Macedon; a sister, Bonnie Thornton of Irondequoit and a niece, Ashley Thornton of Charlotte and six great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, and by her aunt, Leanna Thornton.

A memorial service to celebrate Theresa's bright spirit will be held at Covert Funeral Home at 1:00pm on Wednesday, September 13. 2023 with Pastor Rob Mellgard officiating.
