Thomas M. McArdle

Thomas M. McArdle, age 69, longtime resident of Route 89, died on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Geneva General Hospital following a brief hospitalization.

Tom was born in Seneca Falls on July 3, 1956, a son of the late Donald W. and Augusta M. (nee Arcangeli) McArdle. He was a graduate of South Seneca High School and spent his adult life on the family farm, Sun View Farm on Route 89. As his pace slowed, he became a driver for Seneca County home delivered meals, and for more than 10 years he was the familiar and friendly face that showed up every day for many of the homebound and senior citizens of the South End. He fostered many friendships in the farming community and with his work with the Office of the Aging.

He is survived by his brothers, John and Ron McArdle of the family home and several cousins. Tom was preceded in death by his father; his mother, Augusta McArdle DeVoss.

His friends will be hosting a Celebration of Life at the Ovid VFW Post 6200 from 1:00 to 4:00pm on Sunday, May 31, 2026, all are invited to attend. Interment will be held at St. James Cemetery at a future date. For additional information, please visit www.covertfuneralhome.com
