Thomas W. “Tom” Farr, age 61, was born on May 4, 1964, passed away unexpectedly at his residence.
Tom took pride in having worked with Farr Brothers Construction - along with other local construction companies, Walmart and most recently as a delivery driver after taking CDL training in Bath.
Tom’s life was full of highs and lows, periods of success and periods of struggle. Some of the things he took pride in was his gardening, playing pool, teaching his sons to be outdoorsmen and coaching a little league baseball team. He enjoyed playing a round of golf and having a cold beverage with his friends in the community. His close-knit group of friends from childhood stood as a testament to the relationships he valued deeply.
As a passionate sports fan, Tom was a die-hard supporter of the New York Yankees and the Buffalo Bills, always sharing his enthusiasm for these teams with everyone. His pride and joy were undoubtedly his sons, Jesse (Bridget) Farr of Colorado and their children Mila, Charlie, and Tyler; and Shane Farr of Interlaken and his daughter, Azalea. He took immense pride in their achievements, particularly during their high school sports careers, and then watching their growth into productive young men.
Tom is also survived by his brother, Hub (Gretchen) Farr of Darien Center, and his sister, Debra Farr of Okeechobee, FL. He is preceded in death by his father, J. Herbert "Herbie" Farr, and his mother, Dottie Farr.
To remember Tom, his family will host a “tailgater” during the Bills game from 1:00 to 3:00pm on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at Interlaken Sportsman’s Club on Tunison Road.
