Virginia A. Olsowske

Virginia A. Olsowske, age 82, of Romulus passed away at Geneva General Hospital on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.

A private service will be held at a later date for family. In lieu of flowers the family asks those that would like to make a contribution in Virginia’s name to kindly consider the MacDougall Sportsmen’s Club, 3800 MacDougall Road, Waterloo, NY 13165.

She was born on March 7, 1941, a daughter to the late George and Edith (Clark) MacCheyne. Virgina worked for Willard Psychiatric Center as a therapy aide prior to her retirement. She enjoyed family gatherings, knitting, crocheting, reading, NASCAR, playing bingo, and baking and sharing her treats with family and friends. Virgina was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Thomas W. Olsowske; three children, Bethie (Paul) Wintermute, Michael (Michele) Olsowske, and Lisa (Todd) Ingalls; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard and George MacCheyne; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by three brothers, Pete, Donald and James MacCheyne; and three sisters, Hazel and Betty MacCheyne, and Marion Kendall.
