Albert R. Sproul

Albert R. Sproul, age 74, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 2, 2022.

Albert was born in Augusta, Maine on March 13, 1948, a son of the late Richard and Vivian Sproul. Following high school he proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1967-1972, serving aboard the USS Shields DD596. He was married to Starrlett Shaw of Auburn, and they moved their family to the Romulus area.  Albert was an assistant manager at the former Ames Store in Geneva and then was a stocker at WalMart in Geneva until his retirement. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, working in his yard and gardens, and was often found at the coffee club at Carl’s Store on Route 96A, solving the issues of the day.

He is survived by his children, Jason (Naomi DeJohn) Sproul of Seneca Falls, Jaime (Jarrod) DeWall of Waterloo; his grandchildren, Christy Lynn, Abbey Mae and Jason Sproul Jr.; and great granddaughter, Estella Lynn, and step granddaughter, Addyson Grace DeJohn; his brothers, Bill and Richard Sproul.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Starrlet in 2002 and by a sister, Mada.

Services with Navy military honors were held privately at Mount Green Cemetery.
