Arlene Joanne (White) Beers

Arlene Joanne Beers, age 77, longtime resident of 2518 Parish Road, died peacefully at her home with family at bedside on Wednesday, September 7, 2022.

Joanne was born in Seneca Falls on March 16, 1945, one of six children to the late James and Jane White. She was married to Stanley Beers on April 28, 1962 while he was stationed in the US Navy at Norfolk, VA.  She had a long career as the house manager at the Catholic Charities group home in Lyons, where many of her residents became as close as family to her. She was an avid gardener and tryer of new recipes “save or not save”, all while cherishing the time spent with her family at home.

She is survived by her children; Yvonne (Terry) Beers-Wilson of Ovid, and an adopted son, James Badalamenti Beers of Ovid, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, a sister; Jackie (Carl) Terry of Seneca Falls, many nieces and nephews and her husband’s family.  Joanne was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Stanley Sr. in 2018 and by her son, Stanley Jr. in 2014, her siblings; Jean (Joe) Sinicropi, Florence (Roger) Brignall, Glen and James White.
