Geraldine G. (Marvin) Terry

Geraldine G. Terry, age 85, formerly of Lodi, was called home on Thursday, February 24, 2022, she had been a resident of Geneva Living Center.

Geri was born in Guilford, NY on December 25, 1936, a daughter of the late Gerald and Harriet (Oliver) Marvin. She had worked at Seneca Army Depot and owned Geri’s Ovid Diner on Main Street in Ovid.  Geri retired from Willard Psychiatric Center, where she had been a cook. She moved to North Carolina shortly after her retirement and worked several more years at Wall Industries. Geri had been active in many organizations: Grange, Lodi Fireman’s Auxiliary, TOPS, Loyal Order of Moose and often took leadership roles. 

She is survived by her children, Deb (Robert) Darling of Concord, NC, Denise (Daniel) Wobig of Stanley, Dorene (Don) Newell-St. Charles,  Duane (Kathy) Newell all of Salisbury, NC,  Curtis (Mary) Locke of Lodi and Jody Terry of Salisbury, NC; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; her siblings, Doug (Dolly) Marvin of Plymouth, NY, Beverly (Jim) Darling of Norwich, NY and Gail Nelson of Smyrna, NY. Geri was preceded in death by her husband, David Terry; her former husbands, Harmon Newell Jr. and Levi Locke and by her siblings; Sarah, Janice, Marjorie Rebecca, Donald, Edward, Kenneth and Zane.

Memorial Services will be held in North Carolina and Norwich, NY, with her interment at the Cole Hill Cemetery in the Town of Otselic.Kindy consider a donation in Geri’s memory to the Loyal Order of Moose, Spencer Chapter 1197, PO BOX 334. Spencer, NC 28159.
