Tina Marie Westfall

Tina M. Westfall, age 52, died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 26, 2021.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 at Covert Funeral Home in Ovid, on Saturday, October 2, 2021.  A Celebration of Tina’s life will then be held at 6:30pm at Camp Edgemere on the grounds of Willard DTC. Tina was born in Waterloo on December 6, 1968, and graduated from Geneva High School and Alfred State University. Tina started her career at Finger Lakes Health as a unit clerk on 2 West. She worked at the emergency room as a Critical Care Tech. She ended her career at Finger Lakes Health as a Lab Tech and Phlebotomist. She worked part time at CARS in Trumansburg and the CNY Fertility Clinic in Syracuse. Most recently, Tina had worked as a counselor’s at Willard Drug treatment campus.  She was a proud bleacher mom to Jillian, that was always found in the gymnasium, on the athletic field or in the concession stand helping with fundraisers and booster clubs. She was a loving devoted aunt who supported all of her nieces throughout their lives and known to all of their friends as Tin Tin. Tina was well known for her contagious smile. She had a kind heart and a gentleness to her that made her patients feel at ease.  She had a special relationship with all she met and will be missed by so many.

She is survived by her devoted partner, Everett Babcock; her daughter, Jillian; her mother, Dawn Jones of Seneca Falls; her sister, Lori (Ronald) Chain of Youngsville, LA and her nieces, Ashley (Travis) Mallette, Vanessa (Jace) Lopez, Courtney (Stefan) Porche; her brothers and sisters in law, Sally Spencer, Cheryl Babcock, Ann (Frank) Pinette, Clara Walborn, Dawn (Rich) Smith, Roy (Michelle) Babcock,  Bruce Walborn; 5 great nieces and a nephew, several nieces, nephews and their families. Tina was preceded in death by her father, Philip A. Jones, a cousin Robert Allen Smith, Maternal grandmother Ruth Smith and Paternal grandparents Curtis and Elsie Westfall.
